Clidean M Rankin Blythe, July 27, 1927 – December 31, 2020

Clidean Rankin grew up in on farms in the Raritan and Media area. She graduated from Media High School in 1945 and briefly attended Western Illinois State College (now WIU).

Clidean married Russel E. Blythe on February 24, 1950. The couple farmed several different farms in Henderson and McDonough counties; ultimately settling in the Sciota/Good Hope area in 1958. They raised four children.

Clidean was active in the Sciota Christian church until her health no longer allowed her to participate. She reported on events in the Sciota area for the Macomb and Bushnell newspapers for several years. Clidean was known for her love of children and willingness to serve the community.

A private graveside memorial service is planned.
