Charles A. Faul, Jr.

Mr. Charles A. Faul, Jr., 73, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 11:02 AM at the Genesis Medical Center in Davenport, Iowa.

He was born May 7, 1938 in Macomb, Illinois, the son of Charles and Alta Ballou Faul. On May 6, 2000, he married Cheryl Joy Morgan in Dallas City.

Mr. Faul was a mechanic in the United States Air Force for twenty years, first during the Vietnam War and later during the Middle East conflicts. He also worked as a mechanic in Dallas City for several years and for Wal-Mart for ten years. He was a member of the Grace Bible Church in Dallas City.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters- Teresa (Roger) Kerns of Oklahoma, Christine (Mike) Thompson of Waco, TX., Mary (Jeff) Selby of Colorado, five sons- Chuck Faul, David Allen, and Peter (Crystal) Allen all of Oklahoma, John Allen of Waco, TX., and Jason Bradley of Galesburg, IL., eighteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one sister - Patricia Patch of Galesburg, 3 brothers, Herbert Gene Faul of Fort Madison, IA., and Max and Ralph Faul, both of Dallas City, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 in the Grace Bible Church in Dallas City with Rev. Larry Menschel offiiciating. No visitation is planned. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery, near Dallas City, at a later date. A memorial fund has been established for the Dallas City Food Bank at Grace Bible Church. Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Dallas City is assisting the family with arrangements.
