Debra A. Charles

Debra A. Charles, 56, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 9:35 A.M. at her home.

She was born June 26, 1950 in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Catherine Latta Charles.

She was raised in Niota, Illinois and attended school in Nauvoo. She lived in Farmington, Illinois for many years, moving to Dallas City 2 years ago.

She is survived by one son, Jamie Gilpin of Dallas City, one daughter, Pam Alawneh of Fort Madison, her mother, Catherine Charles of Fort Madison, 4 grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Engeman of Niota, two nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces, three great-nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison. The family will meet with friends Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
