Carroll J. "CJ' Kentch, 56, of Dallas City, IL, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at her home.

CJ was born February 21, 1962 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Edward Eugene and Dorothy Ruschill Kentch. She married Gary Rea, they later divorced.

She was a 1980 graduate of the Nauvoo-Colusa High School where she played basketball and softball. CJ enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Jaylyn. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. She looked forward to going to and camping at the Tri-State Rodeo every year. She had been employed at Hagy's Bar in Dallas City.

Survivors include, one son, Blake Rea (Tammie Poole) of Dallas City, granddaughter Jaylyn Rea, one step-grandson, Quinton Poole, mother, Dorothy Henson and her friend and companion, Stan Markham, of Dallas City, two sisters, Carla Kentch of Dallas City and Christi (Roger) Kentch Newbanks of Niota, IL, two nephews, Billy Dewein and Clark Rutledge, two nieces, Rashei (Will) Stuekerjuergen and Curstin Rutledge and two great-nephews, Christian Stuekerjuergen and Chace Loveall.

She was preceded in death by her father, one brother Curtis Kentch, step-father, Daniel C. Henson and a great-nephew, Dante Stuekerjuergen.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am until Noon Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City where a memorial service will be held at Noon. A celebration of CJ's life will be held, beginning at 2:00pm Saturday, at Ike's in Dallas City. A memorial fund has been established.
