Carolyn “Sue Babe” Link, 80, of Flora, Illinois, passed away at 9:59 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Sue Babe was born October 14, 1945 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the daughter of Eldon “Bugs” and Hazel (Brewer) Link.

She spent her early years in LaHarpe, before moving to a supportive living home.

Survivors include one sister: Becky Jean (Mike) Holman of Quincy, Illinois; one sister-in-law: Madeline Link of LaHarpe, Illinois, and 12 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Edwin “Butch” Link and David “Tad” Link; one sister-in-law: Connie Link; two nephews and one niece.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at LaHarpe Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for Rankin Estates in Flora.
