Carole Ellen Kerfoot, 80, of rural Tennessee, Illinois, passed away at 10:01 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2025 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Carole was born November 26, 1944 in Portsmouth, England, the daughter of Edwin H. and Marjorie N. (Holmes) Meyers.

Carole was a 1962 graduate of LaHarpe High School. She began working in 1977 at Methode in Carthage, Illinois, retiring in 2003. After her retirement, she stayed active working part-time for local insurance companies and Casey's in Carthage. She enjoyed and made friends with many customers that frequented Casey's.  She also enjoyed working in her yard, mowing, spending time outdoors, riding four wheelers, side-by-sides, her dogs and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid fan of Alan Jackson and George Jones. She attended the Fountain Green Church.

Survivors include two sons: Roger (Jennifer) Kerfoot of Hamilton, Illinois and Rodney (Erin) Kerfoot of Peoria; three grandchildren: Ashley (Justin Livingston) Flynn of LaHarpe, Calvin Kerfoot of Boise, Idaho, and AJ Kerfoot of rural Tennessee, two step-grandchildren: Brandon Siepel of Canton and Colton Sargent of Macomb; two great-grandchildren: Haddix Flynn and Asher Siepel and one sister: Janet Allen of Burlington, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe.

The funeral service for Carole will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 8th at Banks & Beals, with Pastor Nathan Batson and Pastor Mark Hanson officiating. Burial will follow at McConnell Cemetery, near Fountain Green.
