Mrs. Carole Ann Crum, 91, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at The Arbors at Westbrook Terrace in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born on September 24, 1933 in Stronghurst, IL., daughter of the late Floyd P. and Genevie S. (Strickland) Clark.

Carole graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics. She went on to have an extensive career as a Dietician, working in several hospitals including the Veterans Hospital in Chicago, Maywood Hospital, McDonough District Hospital, and Burlington Medical Center. She eventually retired after accumulating an impressive 35 year commitment.  Carole enjoyed gardening, and was known far and wide for her impressive annual vegetable garden. Her love of plants and flowers extended indoors as well, where she was successful in cultivating a beautiful collection of exotic hothouse plants and orchids.

On April 28, 1962 Carole was united in marriage to Robert E. (Bob) Crum, who preceded her in death on May 24, 2012. In earlier years Carole was noted as a general aviation pilot. She and Bob were world travelers, and loved journeying to far-off locations.

Carole is survived by nephew: Harry (Debi) Carner of TX.; niece: Peggy Williams of AR.; and dear friend: Karen (Kevin) McHugh of Jefferson City.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe, IL. with Pastor Mark Nichols officiating. Interment will be private and for the family.

A memorial fund has been established for the Burnside Christian Church.
