Carol L. McGinnis, 69, of Dallas City, IL passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at her home
She was born on March 12, 1946 the daughter of Everett and Vera Harter Parker. On December 30, 1977 she married Ronnie McGinnis in Dallas City. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2015.

Carol was a graduate of Harmony High School in Farmington, IA. She had worked several jobs throughout her life including, a rural mail carrier in the Dallas City area, a bus driver for the Dallas City School District, a hostess at Pats Tap in Dallas City and for several years worked at Motorola in Mt. Pleasant, IA where she retired from. Carol also coached girls softball in Dallas City for many years and had been recognized as Dallas Citys Woman of the Year.

Survivors include four daughters, Denise McGinnis of Dallas City, Julie (Glenn) Loveland of Carthage, IL, Lisa Amaya of El Paso, TX and Diana (Roger) Boeding of Moscow, IA, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and five sisters, Donna Upton of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Doris (Jim) Onorato of Salem, IA, Dorthea (Bob) Cochran of Argyle, IA, Susie (John) Kuhens of Mt. Pleasant and Cindy (John) Rohdy of Farmington, IA.

Mrs. McGinnis was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Carl Parker.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Rev. Jim Luder officiating. A private burial will be held at Harris Cemetery, Dallas City. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 1:00p.m. until time of services. A memorial fund has been established.
