Brooke Wisener, 47, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away at 7:35 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois.
Brooke was born March 28, 1975 in Carthage the daughter of Steve and Hope (Schroeder) Olson. On August 12, 1995 she married Ed Wisener Jr. They later divorced.
Brooke graduated as Valedictorian of the Dallas City High School class of 1993. She later earned her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Southeastern Community College in West Burlington. She was currently employed by the Southeast Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center in Keokuk.
She was a member of the Burlington Iowa Kennel Club and was a founding member of the Burlington Dog Park.
Survivors include her parents: Steve and Hope Olson of Dallas City; one son: Brandon (Christina) Wisener of Nauvoo, Illinois; one daughter: Hannah (Calvin Shotts) Jones of West Point, Iowa; two grandchildren: Mathias Wisener and Easton Jones; her grandmother: Anna "Boots" Schroeder of Dallas City; twin brothers: Nathan (Jenoa) Olson of St. Peters, Missouri and Ryan (Candace) Olson of Lake Havasu, Arizona; 6 nieces and nephews; a special friend: Jerry Quintero and her father-in-law: Ed Wisener Sr.
Brooke was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: John "Jack" Schroeder; paternal grandparents: Andy and Jean Olson; her mother-in-law: Sharon Wisener and her step-mother-in-law: Betty Wisener.
Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.
A celebration of Brooke's life will be held from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at the LaHarpe Christian Church with a luncheon being held at 2:00 p.m.
