Brenda Maxine Pulley, 81, of Lomax, Illinois, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.

Brenda was born January 7, 1942 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the daughter of Ivan and Evelyn (Ballard) Tate.

Brenda was raised in Lomax and graduated from Dallas City High School. She enjoyed wood working and making jewelry. She was a member of the Lomax Nazarene Church and a longtime volunteer at the Lomax Food Pantry.

Survivors include one granddaughter: Kortni Pulley of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and one brother: Wayne Tate of Marion, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her daughter: Lola R. Paray and one brother: Lanny Tate.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.

A private family burial will be held in Crane Cemetery, near Lomax.
