Bonnie G. McCord age 78 of La Harpe, Ill., formerly of Delavan, Ill, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at 3:28 P.M. atSt. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Ill.

She was born July 11, 1932, in Burnside, Ill., to George and Lena Gail (McCreary) Reynolds.

Bonnie was a 1950 graduate of LaHarpe High School. She was an avid reader of westerns and mysterys, loved to knit and crochet and do crafts. She retired from the Sharon Elms Health Systems in Peoria in 2006.

She was loved by her family and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by six children; Cathy Harris (Hugh Poulson) of La Harpe, IL, Jackie Taylor of Delavan, IL, Walter (Cathy) McCord of Morton, IL, John (Darlene) McCord of East Peoria, IL, Jim McCord of Mapleton, IL and Glen(Shirley) of Las Vegas, Nevada; fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, two step great great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Estel and George Reynolds, a nephew, Sheldon Reynolds, one grandson and 2 son-in-laws, Mike Harris and Ron Taylor.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Rev. Dianne Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Webster, Illinois Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 9:30 until time of services. Friends may call at the funeral home between 3:00 and 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association Hancock County Chapter.
