Mrs. Beverly Louise Myers, 76, of West Burlington, IA passed away at 8:05 PM Thursday, December 4, 2014 at her daughters home in Fayetteville, NC.

She was born November 2, 1938 in LaHarpe, IL, the daughter of John and Doris Ferguson Carnes. On December 25, 1955 she married Jack K. Myers in LaHarpe. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2011.

Mrs. Myers worked for Champion Spark Plug for 31 years. Following their retirement, she and her husband traveled extensively in their RV, visiting every state except Hawaii, with their 2 dogs AJ & Sandy. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed cooking, and baking was a passion of hers. She had a deep love for all of her family and friends. She was a friend to everyone, and anyone who knew her loved her too.

She is survived by four daughters, Jackie (Jim) Haygood of Fayetteville, NC, Debbie (Charles) Swink of Burlington, IA, Trina Myers of Burlington, IA and Shelly (Brian) Fagin of Burlington, IA, one son, Greg Myers of Burlington, IA, five grandchildren, Brian Olson of Aurora, CO, Rich Myers of Gulfport, IL, Rachel Olson Miller of Aurora, IL, Brandy Myers of West Burlington, IA and Greg Myers Jr. of Cascade, IA, eleven great-grandchildren and one brother, LaVerne Mitchell of Carthage, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son, Richard Myers, granddaughter, Jennifer Myers, and three brothers and three sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Chaplain Randy Langner officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Des Moines County Animal Shelter or Mooseheart Charities in memory of Beverly Myers.
