Bernice Norene Clark Dunn, 94, of rural Niota, Illinois died at 3:45 pm Sunday May 31, 2015 at her Sunnybrook Assisted Living apartment in Ft. Madison Iowa.

Bernice was born December 13, 1920 near Pontoosuc IL, daughter of H.R. (Ray) and Nellie Little Clark.

She graduated from Dallas City High School in 1938, and then business college in Ft. Madison, IA. She worked for several years at an insurance agency in Ft. Madison.
On April 15, 1944 she married Wesley J. Dunn, and as a full time homemaker raised three sons. Wesley died in 1996.

She was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Dallas City, and served many years as their financial secretary. She was also a member of Dallas City Senior Citizens.

She is survived by sons Steven (Pam) Dunn of Dallas City and Ray Dunn of Valencia California plus a daughter-in-law Lori Dunn of Colusa IL. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Eric, Bryan, Cody, Joel and McKenzie, six great-grandchildren as well as a sister, Jeanne (Don) Vaughn of Lomax IL, nieces and nephew.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and son, Clark Dunn.

Services will be held at Banks and Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 with Pastor Doug Clark officiating. Burial will be held at Harris Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Dallas City Senior Citizens.
