Becky Sue Swisher, 53 of Lomax, Illinois died at 4:30 p.m. Monday Sept 3, 2012 in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born December 22, 1958, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and June McKeown Kemp. On March 12, 1979, she married Charles Swisher in Carthage, Illinois.

Becky was a 1977 graduate of Dallas City High School and a lifelong resident of Lomax. She was employed by American Ordinance of Middletown, Iowa for the past twenty years. She loved reading, crocheting, spending time with her family and Facebook.

Survivors include her husband, her mother of Lomax, IL., one daughter - Amy Swisher of Lomax, one grandson- Austin Worley of Lomax, one brother- James (Joyce) Kemp of Coos Bay, OR., two sisters- Beverly (Barry) Lillard of Dallas City, IL., Barbara (Steven) Fernetti of Lomax, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father- Harold DocKemp.

Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, where the family will be present from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The funeral for Becky Swisher will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Banks & Beals in Dallas City with Rev. John Bremer officiating. Burial will follow in the Stronghurst Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for St. Judes Childrens Hospitals. .
