Mrs. Barbara Gayle Zudyk, 69, of Nauvoo, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

She was born on May 6, 1948 in Chicago, IL the daughter of August and Isabell Sliwa Yos. On October 13, 1972 she married Theodore Victor Zudyk, he survives.

Barbara worked as a Registered Nurse at the South Chicago Community Hospital, and for the Blessing Hospice. She also worked at the St. Mary's High School in Nauvoo. She and her husband have called Nauvoo home for the past 20 years where she was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Zudyk enjoyed crocheting, cooking, shopping and antiques.

Survivors include her husband, Theordore, two sons, Michael (Julia) Zudyk of Richardson, TX and Anthony Zudyk of Placentia, CA, one brother, William Yos of Chicago, and two sisters, Janet Natt of Scherriville, IN and Colleen Yos of St. John, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Guy and Raymond.

Viewing will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, Nauvoo followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Cremation will then be accorded. A memorial fund has been established for the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, IL is assisting the family.
