Barbara Jo Kokjohn, 84, of Pontoosuc, Illinois, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Montrose Healthcare Center in Montrose, Iowa.

Barb was born March 21, 1940 in Carthage, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur Ray and Lucy Pauline (Admire) Walker. She married Gary Harryman Sr. He preceded her in death. Later, she married Leonard Dennis Kokjohn. He also preceded her in death.

Barb was raised and educated in Dallas City. She worked numerous jobs, including Sheaffer Pen, Sylvania and retired from Methode. She enjoyed flowers, riding horses, animals, especially cats and was fan of Elvis Presley.

Survivors include one sister: Georgia (Dick) Pardall of Franklin, Iowa; one brother: Tom (Nancy) Walker of Pontoosuc, one daughter-in-law: Caroline Harryman; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend: Patty Gilpin.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons: Gary Harryman Jr. and Darrin Harryman; one daughter: Valerie Benge; one grandson and a brother: Denny Walker.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2024 at Harris Cemetery, near Dallas City with Rev. Jim Luder officiating.
