Arline F. Lovell's Obituary
Arline F. Lovell, 91, of LaHarpe, IL, passed away at 12:54 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018 at the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, IL.
She was born on October 19, 1926 in LaHarpe, IL, the daughter of Arlie L. and Grace Collins Owsley. On May 29, 1947 she married Ardis L. Lovell in Atchison, KS. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2011.
Arline graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1944. Later she graduated from the Burlington Beauty Academy and worked as a beautician for a short time. She also worked at the former LaHarpe Hospital, former Americana Nursing Home, Macomb and NTN Bower, Macomb. She enjoyed quilting, reading, crosswords, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Marcia (Dallas) Neff of LaHarpe, LaVerne (Peggy) Lovell of Memphis, TN, Brian (Joyce) Lovell of LaHarpe and Layne (Mary) Lovell of St. Louis, MO, eleven grandchildren, Jacob (Carolyn) Neff, Stacie (Nathan) Wisehart, Josiah (Erin) Neff, Lacie (Bart) Thompson, Hunter (Aimee) Lovell, Conrad (Jenny) Lovell, Natalie (Willis) Young, Alex (Katy) Lovell, Hollie Lovell, Jolequyn Abby, and Meredyth (Curtis) Schroyer, twenty-four great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Samuel, and Rebekah Young, Mackenzie, Adriana, Noelle and Victoria Jerabek, Julia Rose and Rachel Lovell, Laney Weaver, Van Angel, Cooper and Myles Neff, Cyrus, Daphne, Phoenix and Vaughn Lovell, Carson and Kylie Lovell, Tessa Abby, Grayson Schroyer, Charlotte and Penelope Thompson, and Deaken Gittings, one sister, Violet Allen,
two half-sisters, Sharon Musselman of Texas and Marie Basso of Athens, IL and four half-brothers, James, Craig and Max Owsley, all of LaHarpe and Bernard Owsley of Fort Madison, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ardis, grandchild, Kelly Lovell Jerabek, and one brother Donald Owsley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Nate McCarter officiating. Burial will be at the LaHarpe Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Monday, at Banks & Beals where the family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the LaHarpe Christian Church.
