Arlie D. Long Jr., 84, of Roseville, Illinois, formerly of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Goldwater Care in Roseville, Illinois.

Arlie was born September 10, 1941 in LaHarpe, the son of Arlie D. and Reva Mae (Carnes) Long Sr. He was raised and educated in LaHarpe. Earlier in life, he worked at the Lomax Canning Factory in Lomax, Illinois. Later, he relocated to the Galesburg, Illinois, area; where he resided for over 30 years. Most recently, Arlie lived in Roseville. He enjoyed classic car magazines and collecting car photographs.

Survivors include four nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Arleen Bayne, Betty Dunkin and Margaret Keane and one brother: Ernie Long.

Banks & Beals Funeral Home of LaHarpe is assisting the family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the LaHarpe Cemetery, with Rev. Rick Goettsche officiating.
