Mr. Alvin Leon Wall, 64, of Macomb, Illinois passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 11:05 PM at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born April 3, 1944 in Macomb, the son of Alvin Macy and Sadie Belle Hoover Wall. He first married Janet Marie Sutton. They later divorced. On May 14, 2001 he married Robyn Lynn Lindsay.

Mr. Wall served in the US Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1981. He then worked as a prison guard in Florida and later was a driver for Shelton Trucking for 11 years. He moved from Florida to Macomb in 1999. He enjoyed being with his family, and young people, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Robyn, one daughter, Cynthia Wall, two sons, Stephen Wall and Ralph Wall all of Pensacola, Florida, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters, Valerie Ann Erven of Milton, Florida, Donna Wilson and Dorothy (Harry) Green of Colchester, Illinois, Sandra Ussery and Janet (Jack) Bundy of Macomb, 3 brothers, Donnie (Dianna) Wall and John (Barbara) Wall of Wayland, Missouri and Gene (Carol) Wall of Macomb and 4 aunts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jack Wall.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe, Illinois. Burial with military rites will be in the McKay Cemetery near Burnside, Illinois. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
