Mrs. Alice E. Sheffler, 80, of Macomb, IL passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb.

She was born March 1, 1939 in Blandinsville, IL, the daughter of John W. And Alice Foster Akers. On October 9, 1956 she married Richard E. "Pop" Sheffler in Blandinsville. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2006.

Alice enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing bingo and working in her yard. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Sheryl (Bob) Klein of Blandinsville, Darlene (Jeff) Beck of Abingdon, IL and Lisa (Duane) Teel of Blandinsville, two sons, Allen (Cynthia) Sheffler of Blandinsville and Jeff (Joanna) Sheffler of East Peoria, IL, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one brother, Roy Akers of Coal Valley, IL and one sister, Joan Gashi of Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one granddaughter, Emily Beck, one great-granddaughter, Alexis Teel, one brother, John W. Akers, Jr. and one sister, Doris Ridgeway.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Terre Haute, Illinois Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 9:30 - 10:30 Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe.
