Alice Pendleton, 91 of Stronghurst, Illinois died Monday October 30, 2017 at Blair House in Burlington, Iowa. She was born April 24, 1926 near Stronghurst, the daughter of Herbert and Edna Wunderlich Annegers. On July 10, 1945, she married Lyman Pendleton in Monmouth, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1979.

Mrs. Pendleton was a 1944 graduate of Stronghurst High School. She lived most of her life in the Stronghurst area, where she worked for Kemp's Sundries Store, Henderson County Highway Department, and Henderson County Soil and Conservation Office. She was a member and had served as treasurer of the Stronghurst Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Pam Pendleton of Springfield, IL, one sister, Marjorie Sullivan of Quincy, IL, one brother, Ronald Annegers of Normal, IL, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Charles, Donald, and Raymond Annegers, and one sister, Edith Hinson.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst. A private family service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday November 2, 2017 at Banks & Beals. Private burial will be in the Stronghurst Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the M.S.T. Fire Department and the Stronghurst Ambulance Service.
