Betty J. Ronner

Betty J. Ronner, age 78 of Gladstone, Illinois died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday July 22, 2010 at her home. She was born November 22, 1931 near Paloma, Illinois, the daughter of Albert L. and Daisy H. Wheeler Gooding. On December 11, 1971, she married Edwin Ronner in Galesburg, Illinois.

Betty had lived much of her adult life in Gulfport, Illinois before moving to Gladstone following the flood of 2008. She had worked at the Burlington Basket Factory and Vista Bakery for many years. She enjoyed auctions and yard sales and was active in the Gulfport Ambulance Boosters organization.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters - Sandra (Rusty) Decker of Gladstone, Dawn (John) Legier of Makanda, IL., four sons - Terry (Sharon) Garner of Stronghurst, David Bridgman of Galesburg, IL., Damien (Nancy Hall) Ronner of Burlington, IA., Darren (Megan) Ronner of Stronghurst, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one sister - Ruth Miller of Lynchburg, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. Monday July 26, 2010 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Carman Cemetery.
