Glenn W. Poulter

Mr. Glenn W. Poulter, 77, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 12:02 A.M. at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.
He was born September 18, 1932, the son of Virgil E. and Hazel D. Booher Poulter. On January 12, 1957 he married Mary Ellen Lucas. She preceded him in death on November 6, 1983.
He is survived by a foster son, Patrick Powers of Dallas City, special friends, Bill and Alyce Edwards of Dallas City, 4 brothers, Richard (Elsie) Poulter of Fort Madison, Rodney (Shirley) Poulter of Beverly, Illinois, Russell (Ellen) Poulter of Blandinsville, Illinois and Dewayne (Rita) Poulter of Dallas City, 5 sisters, Betty (Dale) Emery of Mendon, Illinois, Shirley (Steven) Lieurance of Clearwater, Kansas, Janet (Charles) Cox of LaHarpe, Illinois Bonnie (Roy) Kershner of Bushnell, Illinois and Kay Thacker of Burlington, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 5 brothers, 2 in infancy, and 1 sister.
Visitation for family and close friends will be held at the Poulter home in Dallas City on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. Private graveside services will be held at Harris Cemetery on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
