Madaline D. Foresman

Mrs. Madaline D. Foresman, 91, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.
She was born August 31, 1918 in Eleanor, Illinois, the daughter of Maurice and Nora Burns Lee. On January 10, 1946 she married Charles Ludwig Foresman in Raritan, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2009.
Madaline worked as a registered nurse at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois and at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Fort Madison, Iowa. She then worked for Dr. Martin Carillo for over 20 years at his Dallas City office. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City and the church’s Altar Society, the Dallas City American Legion Auxiliary and the Oak Leaf Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Marcella Coffman of Surprise, Arizona and Margaret Ann Kindig of Burlington, Iowa, four sons, Maurice Foresman of Littleton, Colorado, Charles Foresman of Summerfield, North Carolina, Joseph Foresman of Des Moines, Iowa and John Foresman of Granite Bay, California, a special nephew, Michael Lee of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa who spent a lot of time in the Foresman home, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, one brother, Paul Lee of Aledo, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City with Father Tony Trosley officiating. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery, Dallas City. Friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City where the Rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M., followed by visitation with the family until 9:00 P.M. A memorial fund has been established for the Sts. Peter and Paul School in Nauvoo, Illinois or the Great River Hospice House. Send a condolence here.
