Patricia Ann McVey

Patricia Ann McVey, age 70 of rural Little York, Illinois , went to be with our Lord on Tuesday April 20, 2010 at her home. She was born June 10, 1939 in Kewanee, Illinois, the daughter of Howard and Lucile Lisenbee Jones. On November 24, 1956, she married Daniel McVey at the Biggsville Methodist Church.

She was raised in Oquawka and moved to Rozetta in 1949. She attended Liberty Grade school and then graduated from Biggsville High School in 1956.

Pat was a devoted mother of four sons, and a loving grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, searching for Indian artifacts, writing poetry about the Lord's love for us, and spending time with her family, friends, and church family.

Survivors include her husband,Daniel McVey of rural Little York, three sons - Daniel (Cheryl) McVey Jr. of Oquawka, Rodney (Diane) McVey of North Henderson, Illinois, Tim (Theresa) McVey of rural Henderson County, ten grandchildren- Paul McVey, Rachel Wallers, Kalli McVey, Jessica Saldeen, Jennifer McVey, Daniel McVey III, Michael McVey, Samantha McVey, Donovan McVey, and Quinton McVey, one great grandchild- Jacob Wallers, three step grandchildren- Linnea Heller, Candi Ince, and Chris Janey, two brothers - Loren (Shirley) Jones and Michael (Mollie) Jones both of Eugene, Oregon, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son - Eddie McVey, two sisters - Janice Davis and Joan Borevik, and three brothers- Steve, Donald, and Tracy Jones.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday April 29, 2010 in the Faith Bible Church in Oquawka. A memorial fund has been established for the Faith Bible Church. Send a condolence here.
