Roellen Elizabeth Andrews

 

RoEllen E. Andrews, age 65 of rural Lomax, Illinois died at 11:40 p.m. Friday March12, 2010 in the Great River Medcial Center in West Burlington, Iowa. She was born July 6, 1944 in Bushnell, Illinois, the daughter of Oscar and Roxie Gittings Evans. On May 16, 1965, she married Jerry Andrews in Carman. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2000.

Mrs Andrews was employed for twenty five years at Methode Corporation in Carthage, Illinois, retiring in 2009. She was a member of the Carman United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter - Maleia (Roger) Brockett of Lomax, her mother- Roxie Evans of Lomax, four grandchildren - Heath (Lori) Andrews, Amber, Amanda and Hogan Brockett, two step grandchildren- Roger (Lori) Brockett Jr and Billie Jo Lambertsen, two great grandchildren- Nicholas and Damion Snyder, three sisters - Wynona Anderson of Stronghurst, Roxann (Tim) Tipton of Clarksville, Arkansas, Carmella (Raymond) Hollaway of Knoxville, Arkansas, three brothers- LaMarr (Marilyn) Evans of Biggsville, IL., LaRoy (Connie) Evans of Brighton, Colorado, and Rick (Melanie) Evans of Lomax, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and one step grandchild - Jeremy Brockett.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday March 17, 2010 in the Carman United Methodist with Pastor Anita Munden officiating. Burial will follow in the Carman Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
