LeRoy B. Willdrick

Mr. LeRoy B. Willdrick, 70, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 3:45 P.M. at his home.

He was born June 3, 1939 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the son of Samuel and Grace Bartlow Willdrick. On December 27, 1963 he married Marilyn Guy in Lomax, Illinois.

Mr. Willdrick graduated from Dallas City High School in 1957 and served in the US Air Force from 1957 until 1962. He worked at J.I. Case Company in Burlington, Iowa for 34 years, retiring in 1996. Earlier in life he had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Chance (Jenifer) Willdrick of Fort Madison, Iowa, one daughter, Cheray LaRoue of Fremont, Michigan, five grandchildren, one great-grandson, one sister, Carol McVey of Lomax and one brother, Larry (Beverly) Willdrick of Mount Olive, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Myrna Black-Willdrick.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Rev. Jerry Knipe officiating. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City. There will be no formal family visitation, but friends are welcome to stop at the funeral home anytime between 3:00 and 8:00 P.M. Wednesday.
