Delbert Lewis Kepler

Mr. Delbert Lewis Kepler, age 88, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at 12:03 A.M at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center, LaHarpe, Illinois.

He was born November 23, 1921 in Macomb, Illinois the son of Delbert Lewis and Thelma Iola Kepler.

Mr. Kepler lived in Macomb most of his life, moving to LaHarpe in 2005. At the age of 12 he became disabled after contracting encephalitis. He enjoyed reading and traveling and was a Ham Radio Operator. He was always interested in current events and was very knowledgeable about world history. He was a faithful member of the United Church of God, Canton, Illinois for over 50 years.

He is survived by cousins and his church family.

Following cremation a memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Mr. Ken Graham officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb. There will be a time for visiting and sharing memories, Wednesday, from 6:30 until time of services. A memorial fund has been established for the United Church of God or LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center. Send a condolence here.
