Ricky R. Northup

Mr. Ricky R. Northup, 42, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 12:50 A.M. at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.

He was born December 11, 1966 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Harold and Judith A. Jones Northup.

He was a 1985 graduate of the Dallas City High School. He worked for G.E. Company in Burlington since 1992. He enjoyed attending car shows, riding his motorcycle and hunting and fishing. He had served as a coach for the Lomax little league baseball and taught the Hunters Safety Course.

He is survived by two children, Nathan Tyler Northup and Neely Anne Northup of Dallas City, his father Harold Northup Sr. one brother, Harold (Karen) Northup Jr., one niece, Natalie Northup and one nephew, Harold Northup all of Dallas City and his grandmother, Velva Jones of Carthage, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Northup, his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, October 30, 2009 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Pastor Mark Nichols officiating. Burial will be in the Durham Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday.
