Lois J. Good

Mrs. Lois J. Good, 84, of Lomax, Illinois passed away Saturday, August, 15, 2009 at 10:47 P.M. at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center in LaHarpe, Illinois.

She was born January 21, 1925 in Lomax, the daughter of William Moore and Myrtle Lee Gibbs Cook. On July 3, 1942 she married David A. Good in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1991.

She had worked at the Lomax Canning Factory and later worked in the dietary department at Burlington Medical Center, retiring after 22 years. She lived in Lomax for 58 years, moving to the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center on November 23, 2004.

Surviving are five children, Ronald D. Good of Lomax, Everette Lavern Good of Keokuk, Iowa, Debra Jean Good-Pantella of Phoenix, Arizona and twins, Lonnie Ray Good of Fort Madison, Iowa and Lori Sue Good-Longstaff of Witchita, Kansas, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, one great-great-grandson, three brothers and one sister.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Carman Cemetery, Carman, Illinois with Rev. Larry Menschel officiating. There will be no formal family visitation, but friends are welcome to stop at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, Illinois, Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. A memorial fund has been established for the Activities Fund at LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.
