Kenneth Mead

Kenneth Marsden Mead, age 98 of Port Richey, Florida, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday August 2, 2009 at his home. He was born August 9, 1910 in Gladstone, Illinois, the son of Clyde and Virgie Marsden Mead. He married Adaline Ruth Saben. She preceded him in death. In 1966, he married Teophile “Tillie” Bereika. She survives.

Mr. Mead was a civil engineer for Chicago Bridge and Iron Company. He traveled around the world and constructed water towers. He retired in 1970 and moved to Florida in 1972. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Tillie, three daughters - Wanda (Murgatroyd) Mead of Kerikeri, New Zealand, Marsda Conner of Oak Park, IL., and Diane (Bill) Connelly of Algonquin,IL., six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday August 10, 2009 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst. Burial will follow in the Carman Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Condolences may be left at banksandbeals.com. Send a condolence here.
