Linda L. (Rosenboom) Stinemates

Linda L. (Rosenboom) Stinemates, age 45, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Niota, Illinois passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 6:00 AM at her home.
She was born December 1, 1963 in Fort Madison, Iowa the daughter of Don and Carolyn Rockel Rosenboom. In November of 1991 she married Herbert Eugene Stinemates. They later divorced.

Linda was a 1982 graduate of Dallas City High School and attended Southeastern Community College and Carl Sandburg College. She worked in an administrative role for various businesses. She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Burlington. Earlier in life she belonged to the Christ Lutheran Church in Nauvoo where she served as organist. She enjoyed the outdoors by taking long walks, doing counted cross stitching and helping others by volunteering on her days off.

She is survived by two daughters, Holly Marie Stinemates and Sarah Beth Stinemates, both at home, her parents of Niota, two sisters, Lisa (Matt) Baugher of Lebanon, Missouri and Lora (Jamie) Gregg of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, one brother, Lee Rosenboom of Chicago, three nephews, two nieces, aunts, uncles and her grandparents, Bill and Mary Alice Worden of Dallas City.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Horace Rockel, Harold and Geneva Rosenboom, and her step-grandmother, Wilda Rosenboom.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Nauvoo with Pastor Gayle Pope officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Myers Cemetery, rural Dallas City. The family will meet with friends, Sunday from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. A memorial fund has been established.
