Carlene Queisner

Carlene Queisner, 83, of San Clemente, California, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009, at 4:35 p.m. She was born in Colusa, Illinois on October 17, 1925, the daughter of Carl and Rubye Brown Queisner.

She worked at the telephone company in Fort Madison, Iowa and also in Chicago, Illinois. Carlene moved to southern California in 1956 and worked in many areas specializing as a liaison between government regulators and land developers. She enjoyed the outdoors, the warm sunny beaches, and the climate of California.

Miss Queisner never married nor had any children, and was preceded in death by her parents, her sister-in-law Harriet (Sis) Queisner and nephew James L. Queisner. Carlene is survived by her brother, Robert G. Queisner and his children, Susan (Robert) Umthun, and Robert C. (Becky) Queisner all of Fort Madison, and Janet (Robert) Foote of St. Louis, Missouri, plus several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City, Illinois, with Pastor Mark Binder officiating. Banks & Beals Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Send a condolence here.
