Virginia C. Kaminski

Mrs. Virginia C. Kaminski, 90, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 7:35 PM at the Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst, Illinois.

She was born August, 10, 1918 in Dallas City, the daughter of Harold R. and Marjorie Knappenberger Gracey. On July 4, 1937 she married George Kaminski in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1994.

Mrs. Kaminski worked as a clerk at the Dallas City Post Office for 25 years. She lived in Dallas City all of her life, except for the winters she and her husband spent in Texas.

She is survived by one son, Gary Kaminski of Dallas City, two daughters, Linda Uchida of North Hollywoood, California and Jan Kaminski of Dallas City, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one sister, Marjorie Weese of Dallas City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, Rahma Britton and Wanda Stanley and 1 brother, Had Gracey.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Harris Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Banks & Beals Funeral Home, Dallas City, is assisting with arrangements. Send a condolence here.
