Jerry W. Duffy

Mr. Jerry W. Duffy, 64, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Wednesday, August, 13, 2008 at 3:38 P.M. at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
He was born December 1, 1943 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Maynard and Alma Jean Zern Duffy. On July 31, 1965 he married Mary R. Kuntz in Burlington, Iowa.
Mr. Duffy worked at J.I. Case Co. in Burlington for 36 years, retiring in 1997. For the past eleven years he served as the Dallas City City Marshall and was a deputy marshall for many years prior. He was a member of the UAW Local 807 and was active in the United Way.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Rusty Duffy of Dallas City and Mike (Melanie) Duffy of Roseville, Illinois, 4 grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Duffy.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Rev. Larry Menschel officiating. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City. Friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
