O. Keith "Skeeter" Hubbard

Mr. O. Keith “Skeeter” Hubbard, 83, of Carthage, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 at 4:15 A.M. at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

He was born November 26, 1925 near Burnside, Illinois, the son of Andrew and Hazel Lane Hubbard. On June 19, 1946 he married Rosena Pence in Dallas City, Illinois.

Mr. Hubbard was a graduate of Colusa High School. He farmed most of his life near Colusa and was a seed corn salesman. He served on the board at the Colusa Bank and the WIEC. He was a member and trustee of the Colusa United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Joyce Hubbard of Springfield, Illinois and Jane Allen of Kewanee, Illinois, two grandsons, Sean and Chris Allen, a close family friend, Kelly Behle, three nephews and five nieces.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Callaway one niece and his parents.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Rev. Tony Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery near Dallas City. Friends may call at the funeral home between 3:00 and 8:00 PM Tuesday. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
