Linda Sue Marshall

Linda Sue Marshall, 60, of Nauvoo, Illinois passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 9:49 AM at the Fort Madison Community Hospital. She was born January 17, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of William C. and Grace Lair Watts. On December 17, 1966, she married James L. Marshall in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Mrs Marshall had worked as a CNA at Carthage Memorial Hospital for several years and later worked for a dairy in Montrose, Iowa for many years. She was a girl scout leader for many years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Madison, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, her mother of Dallas City, Illinois, one daughter - Jimmie Marshall of Niota, Illinois, seven sons - Ron and John Marshall, both of Hamilton, IL., Lynn, Rick, and Grant Marshall, all of Fort Madison, IA., Mike Marshall of Lyons, Georgia, Brice Marshall of Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, NV., fifteen grandchildren, one sister - Betty Rieke of Burlington, IA., her mother in law- Elda Mae Marshall of Niota, IL., and one nephew - William Smith of Dallas City. She was preceded in death by her father, one niece- Mary Beth Brown, and her father in law- Lowell Marshall.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday December 1, 2008 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, Illinois. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Send a condolence here.
