Rodney R. Burt

Mr. Rodney R. Burt, 47, of LaHarpe, Illinois passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at his home.

He was born June 28, 1961 in LaHarpe, the son of Ronald and Donna Melvin Burt.
He was a 1979 graduate of LaHarpe High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1980 - 1992. He worked for ADM Grain in Burlington, Iowa as a truck driver. Prior to that he drove for Barr Nunn. He was a member of the LaHarpe Masonic Lodge #195 and the LaHarpe Union Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.

Surviving are one daughter, Elizabeth Rae Burt of Bellingham, Massachusetts, his father, Ronald Burt of LaHarpe, his mother, Donna Burt of LaHarpe, one sister, Rena (Gary) Quigle of LaHarpe and one brother, Roger Burt of Fallon, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Rhonda Quigle, his grandparents and one niece.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Bruce Goettsche officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be in the LaHarpe Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home where Masonic Rites will be held at 6:00 P.M. followed by visitation with the family until 8:00 P.M. Friday.
