Franklin G. Rubert

Mr. Franklin G. Rubert, 80, of Chicago, Illinois passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at his home.

He was born in LaHarpe, Illinois, the son of Ralph and Ferne Dowell Rubert.

Mr. Rubert was a graduate of the LaHarpe High School, class of 1946, and served in the military during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for over 50 years, retiring from the ABF Co. He was a member of Union Local #916 and the VFW.

He is survived by his loving companion, Delores Fields and was “Dad” to Janet, James (Teree), Ernest (Char), Anna Marie and the late Angela (Tom) Corse, 2 aunts, Kathryn Noble of Oquawka, Illinois and Helen Goble of Dallas City, Illinois and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Betty Treder.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe, Illinois with Rev. Tom Wright officiating. All family and friends are invited to a luncheon, immediately following the service, at the Terre Haute United Methodist Church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Terre Haute United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society. Send a condolence here.
