Marguerite Marshall

 

Marguerite Marshall, age 95 of Stronghurst, Illinois died at 12:35 P.M. Tuesday May 27, 2008 in the Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst.

She was born May 23, 1913 in Raritan, Illinois the daughter of Roy and Emma Johnson Rankin. On June 11, 1941, she married Charles Henry Marshall in Stronghurst. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1991.

Mrs. Marshall was a lifelong resident of the Stronghurst area. She was a member of the Stronghurst Community Senior Citizens, Henderson County Home Extension, The Order Of The Eastern Star, and the Stronghurst Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one daughter - Mary Kathryn (and Charles) Troxel of Monmouth, IL., one son - Charles (and Laura) Marshall of Stronghurst, and one sister - Dorothy Veech of Stronghurst. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son in infancy - James Robert Marshall, two sisters - Mary Cavins and Eleanor Green, and two brothers - John and George Rankin.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday May 30, 2008 in the Stronghurst Cemetery, with Pam Moore officiating. Friends may call after 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Banks & Beals in Stronghurst, where the family will be present from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Memorials have been established for Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab, and the Willing Workers of the Stronghurst Presbyterian Church. Send a condolence here.
