Corinne Killip

Mrs. Corinne Killip, 82, of LaHarpe, Illinois passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 8:05 P.M. at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.

She was born April 7, 1926 in LaHarpe, the daughter of Orin and Forrest Slusher Myers. She married Ralph Killip in 1945. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1998.

She was raised in Blandinsville where she lived until moving to Russellville, Arkansas in 1977, She had worked at the McDonough District Hospital, the Russellville Hospital and at a bank in Russellville. She moved to the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center 4 weeks ago.

She is survived by two sons, Randy (Mary) Killip of Blandinsville and Blaine (Sonja) Killip of Brighton, Colorado, two daughters, Chris (Donnie) Little of LaHarpe and Lee Ann (David) Hartley of Russellville, Akansas, one son-in-law, Rick Melvin of Blandinsville, 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Teresa Kay Melvin and one brother, Russell Myers.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 12, 2008 at Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville with Rev. Gordon Blankenship officiating. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 4 - 6 PM at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. A memorial fund has been established for St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
