Beulah M. Lofton
Beulah M. Lofton, 103, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 at 10:15 PM at the Blair House in Burlington.
She was born March 12, 1905 in Dallas City, the daughter of Manford and Barbara Hupfer Lofton.
Ms. Lofton was raised and attended school in Dallas City. Earlier in life she taught school in the Dallas City school district for several years. Later she worked as a federal employee for various government contractors in Middletown, IA, Minneapolis, MN, DesMoines, IA and Kansas City, MO.
She is survived by one niece, Mary Ann Hunter of Burlington, one nephew, Earl Lofton of Bloomfield, Iowa and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Eldon Lofton and her parents
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April, 15, 2008 at the Dallas City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Banks & Beals Funeral Home, Dallas City is assisting with arrangements.
