Rena J. McIntyre

Rena Jean McIntyre, age 72 of Olena, Illinois died at 9:40 A.M. Sunday December 9,2007 in the Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. She was born October 12, 1935, in Tioga, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Olive Kelly Walton. On December 16, 1956, she married Donald McIntyre.

Mrs McIntyre had worked at the Lomax Canning Factory, The Shelby Company, Lehigh & Leopold, Shaeffer Pen Company, and most recently worked in the housekeeping department of Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst. She was a member of the former Olena Community Church.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters - Jean (and Blaine) Faudree of Media, IL., Debra (and Jerry) Spiker of Stronghurst, four sons - Rodney (and Amie) McIntyre of Stronghurst, Robert (and Barbara) McIntyre of Stronghurst, Mark McIntyre of Burlington, IA., and Donald McIntyre also of Burlington, 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and eight brothers and sisters - Marion Walton and Ruby Walton, both of Stronghurst, Olive Riley of Quincy, IL., Kay Snyder of Donnellson, IA., Bobby Walton of Oceanside, CA., Ann Conover of Pearson, FL., Barbara Sue Sherman of Kirkwood, IL., and Pat Walton of Lyndon, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday December 13, 2007 in the Olena Cemetery, Olena, Illinois. Friends may call after 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Banks & Beals Funeral H ome in Stronghurst, where the family will be present from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established for the Stronghurst Ambulance Service. Send a condolence here.
