Kenneth H. Pearce

Mr. Kenneth H. Pearce, 96, of LaHarpe, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 5:00 PM in the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.

He was born February 19, 1911 in Burnside, Illinois, the son of Elza and Ethel Long Pearce. He married Frances I. Merrell on March 23, 1929 in Colchester, Illinois. She passed away January 7, 1986. In November 1987 he married Angeline Zink. She passed away in 2005.

Mr. Pearce lived in Hancock County all of his life and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the LaHarpe Senior Citizens and the LaHarpe Christian Church.
He is survived by one grandson, Kevin Pearce of Elmwood, Illinois, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, one step-daughter, Elizabeth Adams of Perry, Georgia, 1 sister, Lois Brown of Burlington, Iowa, and 1 half-brother, Lloyd of Quincy, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his wives and one son, Kenneth Pearce Jr.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, October 12, 2007 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Darren Beachy officiating. Burial will be in the McKay Cemetery near Burnside, Illinois. Friends may call after 3:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Send a condolence here.
