Dale E. Beals
Dale E. Beals, 82, of Effingham, Illinois formerly of Windsor, Illinois died at 10:13 p.m. Friday (October 5, 2007) in St. Anthony’s Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Rev. Kevin Vanderlaan officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Masonic Rites at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the ICU unit of St. Anthony’’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
He was born February 8, 1925 in Shelby County the son of George F. and Kathryn E. Thomas Beals.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Lions Club in Palestine and affiliated with Christian Church in Palestine. He formerly operated a stereo cabinet factory in Windsor, was a deputy Sherriff of Shelby County and owned the Black Horse Inn in Windsor. He was a carpenter by trade.
Surviving are three sons, Larry Beals (Ruth) of Mattoon, Lenard Beals (Rosemary) of Reno, NV and Dale Beals Jr. (Cindy) of Abilene, KN, his mother, Kathryn Beals of Sullivan; one brother, Duane Beals of Decatur; two sisters, Janette McReynolds (Dean) of Bethany and Joan Richardson (David) of Douglas, WY; 12 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, one son, Leslie Beals, one brother, Dean Beals and one sister, Clara Mae Ater. Send a condolence here.
