Lois L. McMillan

Mrs. Lois L. McMillan, 61, of rural Blandinsville, Illinois, formerly of Rushville, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 9, 2007 at 4:22 A.M. at the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born May 5, 1946 in Beardstown, Illinois, the daughter of William R. and Letha Kirkham Dupoy Sr. On March 26, 1963 she married John McMillan in Palmyra, Missouri.

She grew up in Rushville and moved to the Blandinsville area in 1966 where she and her husband farmed. She enjoyed her grandchildren, baking, sewing and painting. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Macomb.

She is survived by her husband, John McMillan Sr., one daughter, Alicia McMillan of Blandinsville, one son, John McMillan III of Quincy, Illinois, her mother, Letha Dupoy of Rushville, six grandchildren, one brother, William R. Dupoy Jr. of Rushville and two sisters, Janet Lupperell of Springfield, Illinois and Lynn Carroll of Quincy.

She was preceded in death by a son, John McMillan II and her father, William R. Dupoy Sr.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. Burial will be in the Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home, Thursday, from noon until time of services. A memorial fund has been established. Send a condolence here.
