Anna Brent

Anna Mary Louise Brent, age 86 of rural Gladstone, Illinois, died at 8:30 P.M. Wednesday May 2, 2007 at her home. She was born April 21, 1921 in Gladstone, the daughter of Walter and Alice McManee Bielser. On May 18, 1940, she married Forrest Donald Brent in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1997.

Mrs. Brent lived most of her life in the Gladstone area. She was a homemaker and had worked at Midwest Biscuit Company in West Burlington in her younger years. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and was an avid sports fan, especially for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. She was a member of the Faith Bible Church in Oquawka, IL.

Survivors include one son- Donald (and Beverly) Brent of Stronghurst, IL., one daughter- Donna (and Gary) Christians of Gladstone, 4 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 5, 2007 in the Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst with Rev. Mark Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Oquawka Cemetery. Friends may call as they desire after 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Marquee Fund at West Central High School, Biggsville, IL. Send a condolence here.
