Jeanne A. Oliver

Jeanne A. Oliver, age 93 of Stronghurst, Illinois, died at 10:35 A.M. Monday April 30, 2007 in the Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst.  She was born January 31, 1914 near Stronghurst, the daughter of Frank and Martha Graham Lant.  On September 10, 1952, she married Lloyd D. Oliver in Stronghurst.  He preceded her in death on May 20, 1986.

Mrs. Oliver was a graduate of Media High School, Media, Illinois.  She had lived her entire life in the Stronghurst area where she and her family farmed.  In her younger years, she was an active 4-H leader.  She was a member of the Stronghurst Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one son- Wendell Oliver of rural Stronghurst, three grandsons- Richard, Douglas, and Daniel Oliver, three great grandchildren- Matthew, Alaina, and Braden Oliver, and one sister - Gail Peterson of Stanton, Iowa.  She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers in infancy  and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday May 4, 2007 in the Stronghurst Presbyterian Church with Pastor Pam Moore officiating.  Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery near Media.  Friends may call as they desire after 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst.  Memorials have been established for the Stronghurst Ambulance Service and Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab in Stronghurst. Send a condolence here.
