Donald W. Mason Jr.

Mr. Donald W. Mason Jr. 69, of Dallas City, Illinois died Friday April 20, 2007 at his home.

He was born June 16, 1937 in Macomb, Illinois, the son of Donald Mason Sr. and Lois Hall Mason. He was married to Barbara Fields and later married Marlene Root.

He formerly lived in Macomb and Florida. While in Florida he owned and operated an excavating and landscaping business and he and his wife, Marlene, operated a Texaco Station where he did mechanical work. He also worked as a mechanic in Macomb.

He is survived by 6 children, Michael (Debi) Hvarven of Edwardsville, IL, Rhonda Williams of Rogers, Ohio, Peggy (Jimmy) Reed of Ft. Myers, FL, Kelly Mason of Dallas City, IL, Mike Fields of Niota, IL and Mary Lou Antes of Fort Madison, IA, 2 stepchildren, Terri Bowman of Carman, IL and Robert Fields of Donnellson, IA and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and 3 sisters, Mary Burton of Peoria, Beverly (Ben) Webster of Dwight, IL and Lynda (Larry) Roberts of Peoria and his sister-in-law, Fern Mason of Mason City, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Wilbur Mason, 1 son brad Mason and 1 step-son, Rodney Fields.
