Marlene M. Barclay

Mrs. Marlene M. Barclay, 59, of LaHarpe, Illinois passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 7:45 P.M. at the Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb, Illinois.

She was born July 7, 1947 in LaHarpe The daughter of Oscar and Erice Campbell Mittermyer. She was first married to James Day. Following his death she married Larry Barclay on July 27, 1982 in Carthage, Illinois. He died December 12, 1994.

She attended nursing school in Carthage and worked as an L.P.N. at nursing homes in LaHarpe, Macomb and Prairie City.

She is survived by one son, Roger Day, one daughter, Nicole Fowler and her father, Oscar “Bud” Mittermyer all of LaHarpe and five grandchildren.

Besides her husbands she was preceded in death by her mother and one daughter Ramona Day.

Following cremation, graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday April 25, 2007 at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Darren Beachy officiating. A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society and My Mathews House of Carthage. Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe is in charge of arrangements. Send a condolence here.
